LIVING puts the talented Bill Nighy at the center of the story in this post-World War II London drama. Nighy plays Mr. Williams, the head of the Public Works Department, reduced by years of oppressive office routine to a shadow existence. When he receives a terminal health diagnosis and after a period of shock, this ordinary man makes a supreme effort to turn his dull life into something wonderful. Akira Kurosawa wrote the textured screenplay of this remake of his 1952 classic Ikiru. Nighy was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role at the 2023 Oscars.
